Changing the max connections per server

This article will show you how to change the max connections per server. By default Firefox limits the max-connections to a server to six. This means that only six live view windows will work at any given time. The changes below only work for Firefox, as Chrome hard-codes this restriction into the binary.

In the address box, type about:config

Pay special attention to this warning.

Search for 'connections-per-server' and change the value of network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server to as many live-view cameras as you plan to use. For a 16 port system, you would want to enable 17 connections *if* you plan to watch 16 cameras from the web live view.

Note: This only applies to web view and does not affect any client configurations.
