Deinterlace

Deinterlace

Deinterlace is the process of creating a single frame from the two interlaced fields of a video frame. While interlaced, the video can look much better on a TV screen. On the other hand on a VGA monitor the image will look pixilated during movement between frames. Interlace is the method of smoothening the video picture by having double the amount of frames than the video's FPS value suggests.

When toggling the Deinterlace, there are several options to choose from.

Adaptive Blend
Blends the pixels of the video frames with motion to remove tearing.

Continuous Blend
Blends the pixels all the time, with or without motion. The "blurry" effect on live view will be constant.

Adaptive Deinterlacing
Displays odd and even lines in separate frames consecutively to remove the tearing effect on the video frames with motion.
NOTE: This may cause “jumping” effect when no motion is detected.

Continuous Deinterlacing
Displays odd and even lines in separate frames consecutively all the time.

None
Deinterlace is turned off.
